PE Unit

Lacrosse has its origins in a tribal game played by eastern Woodlands Native Americans and by some Plains Indians tribes in what is now the United States of America and Canada. The game was extensively modified by European colonizers to North America to create its current collegiate and professional form. We will start this unit, not using sticks, playing 6 vs 6, using a tennis ball. We will then work on stick handling, throwing, catching, and scooping.

See Calendar Date 1/21 for more information.

Physical Fitness Testing begins in March. Students will be tested on Aerobic Fitness (mile or pacer test), Muscular Strength and Endurance (push ups and curl ups), Flexibility (shoulder stretch and trunk lift), and Body Composition (height and weight). We already starting practicing for the test. Review calendar date 1/8 (Physical Fitness Testing) for more information.
